The New Album "Live At The Rams Head OnStage" is now available at all shows!
Ben's Bones, a northeast regional band from Annapolis, Maryland, has been playing their exciting brand of acoustic rock at many of the area's best clubs for over 5 years. They've opened for bands such as the Gin Blossoms, Jerry Jeff Walker, Dick Dale, The Presidents of the United States of America, and The Church. Frontman Dan Haas has recorded with members of the Barenaked Ladies and Guster.
Led by the unique songwriting and vocal abilities of Haas, the band has received heavy Baltimore/Washington and Philadelphia airplay on fine stations like WHFS, WRNR, WXPN, and DC101. In November and December of 2003, they had the number one song on XM radio's Unsigned channel. They've performed all over Maryland and DC, as well as in Virginia, New York, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and Atlanta. In the spring of 2003, the band sold out the Ram's Head OnStage in Annapolis, a high capacity venue that hosts national acts. It was the largest crowd the Ram's Head had held in over 18 months. Since then the band has performed to sold out crowds at the Ram's Head OnStage, the Ram's Head Live in Baltimore, and IOTA, the popular original music venue in Arlington, VA.
In October of 2004, the band won a national contest, sponsored by Icehouse, for a performance slot on The Rock Boat. On the boat, the band played with a large number of acts including Sister Hazel, Tonic, Cowboy Mouth, Pat McGee Band, Shawn Mullins, Michael Tolcher, David Ryan Harris, Gavin DeGraw, Virginia Coalition, Chuck Carrier, and others.
"Goodbye Moon" was recorded in the winter of 2002 and was named one of the top ten "do it yourself" albums of the year by Performing Songwriter magazine. The band's newest studio album is "Wishful Thinking." Producer Frank Marchand (Jimmie's Chicken Shack, Allmighty Senators) encouraged the band to focus on many of their up tempo numbers for "Wishful Thinking," and the result is an exciting rock based record.
The band's most recent release is "Live at the Ram's Head OnStage," a live recording of a performance at the venue in Annapolis, MD. This album documents much of the new material that the band has been playing at recent shows. Come out to a show and pick up your copy!
